2010 TIME TRAILS: Scheduled for May 22 8:00 am

Times:

8:00 am Swimmer check-in with age area coaches.

8-9:00 am Warm-ups

9-9:30 am Start-time for Time Trails

... thru early afternoon

What are Time Trials?

Every swimmer competes to establish a seed time in qualified stroke events. It is run like a dual meet, minus the other team. This gives the coaches a realistic gauge for event and heat assignments for each swimmer.

Does my swimmer need to be at Time Trials?

Yes. This year for two reasons. First, without trial times, it is difficult to place our swimmers according to their strengths and ability and second our team photo will be taken at 8am. NOTE: This event reduces anxiety for swimmers, regardless of their level of competitiveness.

If you are NOT going to be able to make it to time trials…

As with all meets, if you are not going to be present please sign-out by the Tuesday morning prior. The sign-out notebook will be located on the fence near the bleacher entrance.

What do swimmers bring?

Cap, goggles, sweatshirt, blanket or sleeping-bag, towels, snacks, water, sunscreen, and possible something to occupy you between events.

Parents and other spectators need to bring:

A positive attitude and a willingness to pitch-in if help is needed. Don’t forget sunscreen, something cushy for the bleachers, shade and a chair if you can take a break throughout the day.

Reminders:

  • The more you become involved the more fun it will be for you and for everyone else.
  • Please remember the Robalos are a recreation swim team and your positive enthusiasm is what makes this a wonderful experience for all of our swimmers.

A limited snack bar will be open! We will have pizza available for lunch, snack and drinks for sale throughout the day.
